2015 Southern University Games Wrap-Up.

What a week it has been!  Both our Mens and Womens teams performed at their absolute best which paid off numerous times throughout the week.

Our Mens team had a solid start to the week which they followed through right through to the grand final, having only 7 sets from a total 32 sets played.  Swinburne were able to get a hold on this team eventually defeating them 3-0 in the Gold Medal match this afternoon.  These men played some fantastic volleyball, of which they have been rewarded with a well deserved Silver medal.

Our Womens team also had a solid grasp on this competition having only 16 of a total 34 sets taken from them.  This result got them through to the Bronze medal match against Deakin University, where Deakin were able to overpower us and defeated AU 3-1 cementing a 4th place at the end of the tournament.

Trials for Australian (National) University Games for Adelaide University will be held on Sunday 26th July, 4PM at St Peters College Gymnasium (Hackney Road, St Peters) for any AU students who would like to try out for this team.  Further information will be available in the next few days.

Comprehensive SUG's reports will be available in our monthly newsletter.

Again, congratulations to everyone involved in Southern University Games!
